Food reheating, refrigerating & freezing instructions

Meats and Fillings: Pastor, Cochinita, Tinga, Mushrooms
Reheating:
Make small holes in the vacuum sealed bag and heat it in a microwave for around 2 minutes or until it is piping hot thoroughly. Do not overdo it or microwave it open (out of bag) as that may render the meat (especially the Pastor) dry and chewy.
Refrigerating:
If you are not planning to eat it straight away, you can keep it in the fridge for upto 3 days from the date of delivery.
Freezing:
We always recommend you to purchase our Taco Kits as close to the date you are planning to eat as possible. However, if you still want to buy for later consumption, you can store the packets in the freezer for upto 2 weeks from the date of delivery.

Tortillas:
Reheating:
1.5 - 2 minutes in a microwave with a few small holes in the packet. Or until hot and soft on a pan. Avoid overheating in either to prevent the tortillas from getting hard and brittle.
Refrigerating:
Up to 3 days in the fridge.
Freezing:
Up to 2 weeks in the freezer from the date of delivery.

Beans:
Reheating:
1.5 - 2 minutes in a microwave or until piping hot. Do not forget to make a few small holes in the bag.
Refrigerating:
Up to 3 days in the fridge.
Freezing:
Up to 2 weeks in the freezer.

Sides: Salsas/Sauces, Pickled onions, Pineapple
Reheating:
You do not need to reheat these items as they are meant to be served cold on top of your tacos.
Refrigerating:
Up to 3 days in the fridge
Freezing:
Up to 2 weeks in the freezer from the date of delivery.

Note:
The reheating instructions above are based on a standard 800 watt microwave. Please adjust the timings according to the strength of your microwave.
Also make sure to place the bags on a plate to avoid any spillage in the microwave.

How to Eat?
  • Complete the 'Reheating' process from instructions above.
  • Eating the beans: Scoop the beans with the Totopos(nachos). This is a side dish.
  • Making a Taco:

Put some meat/mushroom on the tortilla. Add salsa, garnish and a small squeeze of lime. EAT WITH YOUR HANDS :)
If you know any better, feel free to do that instead ;)

  • Enjoy !
